Dr. Jaykumar Mehta

Dr. Jaykumar Mehta is among the first pulmonologists from Gujarat to undergo post M.D. modular training – a fellowship program in the specialty of pulmonology from the prestigious institute of Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore.

Awarded as “Best Interventional Pulmonologist of Ahmadabad – 2021” – Dr. Mehta has provided his patient-centered professional services at tertiary care corporate center of Ahmadabad, Gujarat for past seven & half years with regular community out-reach consultation services across cities of Gujarat like Bhuj, Gandhidham, Adipur, Bhavnagar, Mehsana, Idar, Himmatnagar, Kadi, Bavla, Dehgam & so on.

Certified from ESOT (European Society for Organ Transplantation), Dr. Mehta is also among the first pulmonologist from Gujarat to undergo tranplant live modular training on lung transplant from Dr. Arne Neyrinck – faculty from Leuven, Belgium.

Dr. Mehta is certified from “Allergy Alliance” to practice molecular allergology & is national faculty on advanced allergy diagnosis with CRD – Component Resolved Diagnosis based allergen immunotherapy – the only disease modifying treatment for various allergies.

Having special interest in quality diagnosis of obstructive airway diseases like asthma – COPD through spirometry test : Basic Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Dr. Mehta has designed a modular training course for technicians across India & conducted successfully with hands-on training in June 2022.

Certified from Telemedicine Society of India (TSI), Dr. Mehta has provided his services thorough telemedicine consultations across Indian states & overseas countries during COVID pandemic.

Carrying rich experience of providing professional services to more than 15,000 patients, Dr. Mehta is also skilled & has independently conducted thousands of diagnostic & therapeutic procedures like bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), medical thoracoscopy, Balloon Bronchoplasty, Tracheo-Bronchial stenting & debulking, Cryoextraction & Cryodebulking, tube thoracostomy as well as indwelling pleural catheter (IPC) insertion.

Dr. Mehta has addressed many public seminars on lung health, smoking cessation as well as COVID awareness. The awareness on respiratory issues are also covered with reputed audio-visual media houses like Doordarshan, Sandesh ,Divya Bhaskar etc.
